Weekly Topic Saturday #53: What's Next Lord?...Lord?!

Updated: Sep 13, 2021

Welcome to Weekly Topic Saturdays!

Hello all, I pray that your week was filled with joy and love. Welcome back to those who have been with me here at A Golden Dream. For my first-timers, a great big hello there, if you haven't already please check out my previous posts when you get a chance.

Please don't hesitate to join the conversation, there are no right or wrong answers or questions. I'm not proclaiming to know everything, I am simply just discussing and picking topics on things that I personally have gone through and that I know would help someone.

Hello my Golden Dreamers, I hope everyone is doing well. We have come to the end of our year-long journey and amidst the celebration of A Golden Dreams birthday, I wanted to provide you guys with what is happening next. Just because we have reached the end of our first year it does not at all mean that our spiritual journey together is over, in fact, it is just beginning. Before I jump into discussing what is next for A Golden Dream, let’s first talk about communicating with God.

The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.

Proverbs 21:5

Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.

Proverbs 11:14

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11

It is very important to take the time to include God in whatever that you do. Remember what we spoke about in God’s Plan Overrides Yours! Not including him in our plans would be unwise, because he already knows what our life will be like and he already knows what we will do, where we will go, and how we will get there. Remember God’s Attributes he is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient; there is nothing that God has not seen or does not know. What better counsel to have than God’s; He tells us in the bible that he already knows the plans, plans for good that gives way to a joyful future and hope.

But all things should be done decently and in order.

1 Corinthians 14:40

Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

Proverbs 16:3

Everything has to be done in decency and in order. You can’t ignore God, make your own plans, and then get upset when things don’t go the way that you planned for them to. That’s like planning to go somewhere, getting in your car, then getting into a car wreck, and when the other driver asks for your insurance, you have none! God is our insurance, he is our assurance; when we confide and abide in him and talk with him we are assuring that our plans will be established because they will already be God approved and ensuring that if there are bumps in the hiccups along the way that we have the best insurance to cover the cost we are all on God’s Holy Tab.

Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.

Proverbs 19:21

By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

Proverbs 24:3-4

For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’

Luke 14:28-30

Let’s face it, from the time that we are able to dream, we begin to develop goals for our lives. When we get to the point that we are in school, the goal-making continues and intensifies because we are now planning for colleges, careers, homes, and retirement. Just like we discussed in Mindfulness: Your Choices Have Power, each and every day we are faced with making thousands of decisions. Decisions that can greatly impact our lives and the lives of others that are attached to us. These decisions can either bring you closer to said goals or lead you further away from them.

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.

James 4:13-15

Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

Proverbs 16:3

I have so many plans, projects, and goals for A Golden Dream that it is overwhelming to think about sometimes. Especially when trying to fund some of the bigger projects myself. I don’t want to tell you that I am going to do this, that, or the third, and I have done no praying to God, and no research to back it up. Doing that will leave room for projects to go unfinished, expectations to drop, and plans to fail. I am going to take a month and a half off from A Golden Dream to pray, plan, rest, and recharge so that I can give you guys the best content that is God Approved. For those that are saying “I don’t know the best way to communicate with God!” Remember we all have a Connection Through Prayer to him. That connection is a phone line that will always have 100% connection, and will never falter. Create a prayer closet and Seek His Face, talk with him and tell him about your plans, see if they line up with his. Just like we discussed in Take A Break, I have to take my own advice. Don’t fret, I will be returning on October 5th, 2021, God willing, with a whole new posting schedule, new content, and new ideas. So stay tuned!!!

Questions To Consider:

1. Have you included God in your plans lately?

2. Do you make time for God through prayer?

3. Do you take the time to plan for something or do you jump hastily into projects?

4. Do you take the time to take a break after working on a project?

5. What is your Insurance Plan? Who are you covered by?

6. Are you caught up on A Golden Dream’s Blog Post? Tell the truth.

With Love, Golden Dreamers, our journey is not over, and if God willing, we will have many many more seasons to come. In whatever you do be sure to include God in your process, ask him to guide your path, and tell you the way in which to go. When he reveals to you the plans, act on them immediately don’t wait because Obedience Is Better Than Sacrifice! Make the time to connect with God, and listen to his wise counsel because once it is God approved, it is assured and ensured to go according to plan. Ask the Lord what is next and he will answer in due time!

~Just Breathe...A Golden Dream~

Amen.
