Please don't hesitate to join the conversation, there are no right or wrong answers or questions. I'm not proclaiming to know everything, I am simply just discussing and picking topics on things that I personally have gone through and that I know would help someone

“The easiest way to discover the purpose of an invention is to ask the creator of it. The same is true for discovering your life’s purpose: Ask God.”

— Rick Warren

By now you all should be acutely aware that I love Rick Warren. My sole inspiration behind this ministry was his book A Purpose Driven Life, and to also get closer to God with what I learned from it as well. This book gave me so much insight, clarity, and understanding as to what my purpose is supposed to be. Furthermore, asking God what he has planned for my life and how I can do his will accordingly.

This excerpt from Rick Warren's book got my wheels turning about the definitions of a creator, a manual, and an invention is.

Creator: is a person or thing that brings something into existence.

Manual: is a book of instructions, especially for operating a machine or learning a subject; a handbook.

Invention: is the action of inventing or creating something, typically a process or device

Like I mentioned in Attributes of God, we discussed some of the names God is called in the bible. Names like Lord, The Alpha and Omega, The Beginning and the End. We further explained and discussed that God is indeed the big three O’s. Omniscient. Omnipresent, and Omnipotent.

God, THE CREATOR:

To be a creator you must be creative. God has the divine ability to create marvelous things. He created us, right? Right! Then that makes God our creator. God’s expressive creativity is displayed all across the world, in every animal, mankind, insect, and plant.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. ..

Genesis 1:1-31

“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.

Revelation 4:11

We are so blessed to have a God that is so creative. You know how creative you have to be to create life itself. To create the Heavens and the Earth. To create the days as well as the nights and have each day be different. Like our God is amazing!

We can also say that God is The Inventor as well as The Creator of all things. With God creating mankind, we are his invention, created for his purpose, and also follow his manual which if you haven't guessed it yet, the Bible. Hence the blog title being called The Creator, The Manual, The Invention. Let's dive deeper.

What are some things you like that God has made?

Oftentimes, I hear people say they are not creative or they wish they were more creative like other people. I almost immediately ask myself how can you say that when your Heavenly Father is the most creative father we could ever ask for? Surely, our father who has made you created you in his image, which is our creator.

The Bible, THE MANUAL:

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.

Psalm 32:8

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

John 14:26

The Holy Bible is a book that encompasses both the Old and New Testament which makes up a total of 66 books in the bible. This is our Manual, it's jam-packed with inspiration, poems, history, knowledge of all things, and a holy guide created by our Creative Heavenly Father to help us in this life.

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

Romans 10:17

Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress

Timothy 4:15

The Old Testament consists of 39 books and is the first half of the Bible. The layout of the Old Testament covers The Pentateuch ( which is the first 5 books of the Old Testament, Genesis Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy), History (these are historical books of the history following the obedience and disobedience of the people), Poetry/writing (writings of wisdom for daily living), Major Prophets (during great times of chaos and tribulations these prophets were used by God to bring the people of the land wisdom and guidance), Minor Prophets (other prophets that's brought forth wisdom and pro).

The New Testament consists of 27 books which are broken down into 4 major groups that make up the second half of the Bible. The New Testament has The Gospels'' of Jesus Christ (which are Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), the Acts of Apostles (which tells the history of the Christian church and how it’s saturated throughout the Roman Empire), Epistles (poems or handwritten documentation in the form of a letter and series of letters sent to a person or group of individuals in the Bible), and lastly, The Prophecy (the last chapter of the bible, Revelations tells how the world will come to an end as we know it).

What Do We Do With The Bible:

1. We Read The Word Thoroughly: Thoroughly means to do something in a thoughtful or careful way. We should comprehend fully what the bible is saying to us. The bible is the only book I know that will chastise, correct, and bless you all in the same chapter, let alone in the same verse. Seek to understand.

2. We Believe The Word:

Once we read the word thoroughly then we need to believe them. Believing and accepting that the Word of God is true. Believing in the promises God has for us.

3. We Apply The Word

The Word of God is a Powerful source that should be centered around our lives. We use the word of God to apply it to our lives so that we can align ourselves to the laws that God deems righteousness.

4. We Receive The Word:

When we receive the word we have to let it penetrate our hearts and minds. The bible says to hold fast the word of life so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.

5. We Walk In The Word:

Once we've done 1-4 we must get to a place to then walk in the Word. Walking victoriously in the Word is being a living sacrifice. The things we did before to satisfy the flesh we have to stop doing because it's not in alignment with what the Word says and wants us to do.

6. Teach The Word:

One thing I love about the bible is that it's so contagious. When it gets good to you, you want to tell others. Teaching each other about the Word is essential to grasp all we can from each verse. The Bible is dripping with knowledge, wisdom, and correction. We must drink and eat from it to replenish our bodies and souls.

7. Study The Word:

We must get to a place to carve out time to study the word. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge Hosea 4:6. We do not want to be ignorant so we must study to know better.

8. Meditate On The Word:

To meditate on the Word is to have it in your spirit and think of it constantly. A great way to do that is by searching for a favorite verse and going over it over and over again until it becomes muscle memory. Having to work close to your heart and mind is where it needs to be.

Us, The Invention:

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Genesis 1:27

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.

Isaiah 43:7

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!

Psalm 150:6

God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

John 4:24

God Knows His Inventions

Jeremiah 1:5 says, Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations. I pray you all to know the magnitude of this one verse. For years I always felt lost because I had a hard time finding my purpose. Like what am I here for? What’s my purpose? Am I supposed to be here? I stumbled upon this scripture and really took it in. Everything on this earth serves a purpose. Don’t you dare think you're just here by sure accident? No! No! NO! We are all Uniquely and Wonderfully Made.

There is nothing that can be hidden from God. He knows all the Good, Bad, and the Ugly about us. Our wants, thoughts, and also desires of the heart are all known to Him. He is there even when we don't want him to be. He knows us so well that he knows how many hairs are on your head. Oh Yes, He knows every strand! God is so amazing that he knew how your life would be before you took your first breath so that negative self-talk you tell yourself about I don't have a purpose! Yea, please change that narrative because it’s not true at all. I’m just saying.

God Knows Our Purpose

One can not find purpose within themselves, at least not fully. The reason why I said that is because we ourselves did not create ourselves. God did. You wouldn’t go to an object and say what is your purpose. You would either have to find the manual or ask the creator of the invention to one, see if you're using the invention properly and two if you're using it to its fullest potential.

Questions To Consider:

1. Are you living at your fullest potential?

2. Do I or can I make time for God by reading my Manual?

3. Do you believe that you serve a purpose? Have you asked God?

4. What will you sacrifice (give up) in order to become closer to God

Last Golden Nuggets (LGN)

Hey Golden Dreamers, before I leave you with love I want to give you some homework and a few Golden Nuggets to ponder on.

1. Read and Understand Your Manual (Bible)

  • What are some ways to understand and gain knowledge about your Manual?

    • Join a virtual bible study or a church

    • “Create” a bible study group of your own

    • Invest in resources

      • Additional bibles in different translations that best suit you

        • Phone Bible Apps

      • Biblical Dictionary

      • Study Bible Workbook

    • Study On Your Own

With Love, remember it takes more work and determination to find yourself and find your purpose. Everything and we do, mean everything, refers back to the Creator. God indeed is the Creator, Manual, and The Invention, because he lives in us and is the Living Word.

~Just Breathe...A Golden Dream~

Amen.

Hey Golden Fam,

I love this analogy of the Creator, the Manual, and the Invention. I think for me and I would say for so many others we can become so discouraged because we do not always know which way to go or what to do. We are so quick to turn to others and neglect the one that is responsible for creating us and the world that we live in. The way that you broke down the bible was in a way that I haven't come across before. It definitely helped me to understand it from a new perspective. For so long I was so confused about the bible because I didn't understand it or what it was trying…
