Weekly Topic Saturday #19: Big Big Big

Welcome to Weekly Topic Saturdays!

Hello all, I pray that your week was filled with joy and love. Welcome back to those who have been with me here at A Golden Dream. For my first-timers, a great big hello there, if you haven't already please check out my previous posts when you get a chance.

Please don't hesitate to join the conversation, there are no right or wrong answers or questions. I'm not proclaiming to know everything, I am simply just discussing and picking topics on things that I personally have gone through and that I know would help someone.

Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

Isaiah 41:10

Those of you who know me know that I love Kierra Sheard. She is one of my favorite gospel music artists. This Weekly Topic Saturday post is inspired by her song Big Big Big. If you haven't heard it I really do recommend that you go listen to it. After I heard the song I immediately went to her album on Spotify and downloaded it.

Let's look at the lyrics to the song.

"What do you see?

Come back to me

Big, big, big

Big, big, big"

What do you see?

When I heard this line it made me think about my life, my walk in faith, and the future for A Golden Dream. The type of person I am, I love to have a plan I love to know what the outcome is. I have huge expectations for myself and for any project that I begin. For my life, this past year I have been on the path of self-discovery, and self-assessment. I have been trying to put in the work to get to know myself and to heal from my past. Creating A Golden Dream has helped me tremendously in this process.

Before last year my faith life was not as strong as it is now, in fact for years I didn't even know where to go or how to get it. I like to have things that are tangible. God has been teaching me that in order for him to move and make things happen in my life accordingly, I have to have complete faith and trust in him. I am nowhere near perfect but I am putting forth my best effort.

And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.

Habakkuk 2:2

I had no idea what I was doing when I created A Golden Dream. I had no idea whether or not it would take off or if anyone would even be willing to join. The vision that I had for this started off as a spark. My goal was just wanting to share my experiences in hopes that it would touch someone and help someone who may be going through similar experiences. Then as time has progressed my goals are growing and so is my vision for A Golden Dream because I can see the potential in this ministry.

Come back to me

What I took from this line was God don't let me forget what you placed on me. God brings it back to me clearer, brighter, and harder. Let me remember why I'm doing this, it's all for the glory of you, God. Everything I Do. So come back to me lord...come into my life, into my spirit, anoint me oh lord and revive me. Come back to me. Help me to be a living sacrifice so I can do your will and only your well. Come back to me to operate in my purpose, continuously work with me in the process, elevate me and my tolerance in clarity, kindness, wisdom, and love.

What do you see?

Come back to me.

Big Big Big

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Galatians 6:9

What I took from this line was that what we have been working for and what we have been praying for we want it to come back to us grander and bigger than when we started. It's just like a seed when you plant it.

Over time I had been planting seeds. My seeds were my walk with God, A Golden Dream, Self-Care, Fashion, Being Financially Stable, and so much more. The thing is when we plant seeds we have to put in the work to nurture them by watering them, giving them sunlight, and talking to them. I nurtured my seeds by writing down my visions and making them plain, establishing faith that they will grow, praying that what I am doing is within the will of God, speaking life into the seeds, and making sure that what I am doing is done in love.

After all is said and done, you want what you have been working hard for and what you've been praying for. When I look back, I can see the growth, I can see where I have started in relation to where I am now.

The self-care and self-discovery that I am nurturing, I hope brings me healing from my past, internal happiness, joy, and peace of mind. The budgeting and saving that I am doing now, I hope brings me financial freedom and less stress so that I can spend money without having to worry so that I can set my children up with financial freedom as well.

I want to be BIG BIG BIG in Christ my Lord and Savior!

Questions To Consider:

  1. What do you see within yourself?

  2. What have you planted? Have you been nurturing it?

  3. What do you need more of that God can help you with?

  4. What are some things that you want God to bring back to you? Whether it be the peace of mind, finishing what you started, a project perhaps, a book?

  5. Are you nurturing the gifts that God planted in you? Are you using them accordingly?

With Love, As the end of the year comes to a close, stay focused. Continue to plant those seeds in fruitful soil, then once planted nurture it. Tend to the seed, water it, and watch it take root. Watch your dreams become reality. Talk to it, speak life to your problems, and understand they are only tests that we must pass. Once the seeds become plants and the very thing that was not seen is now evident and shows signs of growth, make sure nothing stunts its growth. Pluck weeds and pick dead leaves off of them. Maintain your source.

Be sure to protect your peace at all cost and surround yourself with people that will bring you good vibes. Be around people that you aim to become. Continue to grow and bring forth good fruit.

Amen.
