Week 1: [THE WAR SERIES, DRESSED TO KILL]: INTRODUCTION

Updated: Jul 4, 2022

Hey everyone, welcome to The War Series, Dressed To Kill which is our 2nd Golden Series on the website, and our first series of this year. I am so excited to be sharing this series with you all. It’s been a long three months since last year's Mini Video Christmas Series, and in that time I have been working diligently in creating new and amazing content for you. One thing that I constantly ask God for is to keep me focused to remember why I started this ministry in the first place. To not worry so much about staying relevant, seen, what to post, or write next, but instead, I ask God to give me a sense of peace. I include God in the process, by asking him to help me birth out the projects and topics that are ready and nurtured for me to discuss and share by his standards.

Spiritual Warfare Prayer: Father, as we journey together through this War Series give us all the confidence, strength, and faith that we so desperately need. Father, forgive us of our sins so that we may be cleansed in your holy righteousness. Establish a boldness and confidence to fight this spiritual battle in our lives and in the world. For we know that this battle is in the unseen realm, so Lord, allow us to see with our spiritual eyes the attacks from the enemy. Give us the wisdom and the discernment to know and recognize the trickery and schemes the enemy will attack us with. Give us the knowledge and commitment to being steadfast in the Word of God that we will be covered with the truth and with your divine righteousness. Help us to know that you are God and that you will never leave us nor forsake us. As chaos and wickedness are all around us Lord, help us to walk in peace and in the Fruits of the Spirit. Father, you are worthy of all the glory and praise. Let every knee bow, and tongue confess that you are the Living Word and our King. Father, with all these things, we say, Amen.

Now, Let’s Get Into It!!

Spiritual Warfare

Put on the Full Armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

Ephesians 6:11

What is Spiritual Warfare?

Spiritual Warfare is the concept of fighting against the works of evil forces that the enemy brings forth in various ways to attack and destroy you. These attacks are strategically meant to intervene in your spiritual relationship with God and as a result will stunt your growth, development, and maturity in the process if it goes undefeated.

Why is it so Important?

Satan wants nothing more than to make you feel and do things that are not pleasing to God. The enemy wants to steal your joy, peace, and importance; to kill your faith, your love for others, and your confidence in Christ. Most of all Satan wants to destroy your relationship and identity that you have in the Lord, along with your hope, so that he can silence your praise to our Father.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Ephesians 6:12

If this alone doesn’t make you want to throw spiritual hands, I really don’t know what will! We have to understand that Satan’s job is to distract and push us away from God. With all of these things in mind, this is why spiritual warfare is so important. It’s imperative to comprehend that we are in a war that is unseen, but also understand that we must prepare and be ready for the attacks when they come…and trust me, they will come whether we are prepared or not.

My fellow dreamer, we must understand that Satan attacks us in all areas of our life. This war that we are fighting daily is in the spiritual realm, so we can not see it, but the evidence of this war is seen in the natural realm in our estranged relationships, problems in our home life, children, or even our own marriages. Your finances may be suffering, or even your emotional and mental state may be weary. Anger, unforgiveness, rage, anger, and jealousy all may be deeply rooted issues that you may be struggling with. This is not by chance, but is the workings of the enemy to slow you down and take you out!

The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

Deuteronomy 28:7

Not realizing it until now, I’ve been hit with a lot of flaming arrows by the enemy. Times where I’ve literally been burnout and worn out by the situation or problem that was occurring at that time. If only I knew what I know now, whew! I would have been more equipt in handling a lot of the situations differently, and essentially that's what the enemy wants you to think. He wants to stress you out and make you worry yourself into an early grave. He is excited to know that you're depressed and doesn't think that you will ever find your way out of the situation. He is thrilled about the whole thing. But what the Enemy doesn’t realize is that we have Holy Clap Backs, ready to serve him with.

But God said in John 10:10, “ I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” The more we know about the enemy and the battle that we face with him the better off we will be. The more strength we shall have in God and God alone.

Friends, follow me on this journey as we prepare and get ready for war against the enemy. He has taken so much from us and it’s been time for us to suit up and get prepared and ready to fight back.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

Golden Words of Wisdom:

  • Ask our Heavenly Father to help you in your Spiritual Warfare Journey. It will not be easy, but it will be worth it.

  • The more you know about spiritual warfare the better.

  • Read and study through the book Ephesians.

Questions To Consider: Ask yourself these questions and try to answer them to the best of your ability.

  1. Do I believe that there is a battle going on that I can not see? Why or why not?

  2. Do I think the enemy is after my spiritual connection and relationship with God?

  3. Have I ever heard of or do I know of the “Armor of God” found in Ephesians 6?

  4. Am I ready to fully learn and tap into the knowledge of knowing what it means to wear and use the Full Armor of God to defeat the enemy?

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

John 10:10
