Motivational Mondays #23: Holy Clap Backs
Updated: Jan 23, 2021
Welcome to Motivational Mondays!
First things first, what is Motivational Mondays?
Just like it sounds, to motivate, to empower, and to encourage you on the first day of a fresh week. I don't know about you but Mondays can be a drag for me, so sometimes words of encouragement and positivity are helpful to start my day off right.
Motivational Monday's topic is: Holy Clap Backs
Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns."
Everyone knows what clap backs are, they are a quick, sharp, and effective response to someone or something. A clapback can be deemed by most as a targeted, and often savagely sharp-witted comeback intended to place someone in much-needed check. Everyone does this more times than they probably will even notice.
Clap Backs Are All About The Response.
You may be wondering well what are Holy Clap Backs, and how do they work? Holy Clap Backs work in the same way. They are quick, sharp responses targeted at the Enemy and are meant to be a way of checking them in their place. In order to use Holy Clap Backs you first need to have the discernment to know what the Enemy is doing, and what his M.O. is.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
The adversary has but only one mode of operation and that is to steal, kill, and destroy by any means necessary. If you have weak faith, or if you don't have a strong foundation in God, he knows just how to jump in there and plant enough doubt in your head to make you question your belief. To make you question the promises that God made you.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
The next thing that you must have in order to use Holy Clap Backs effectively is to know the Bible. The Bible is the number one place to find the best comebacks. You can't use it though if you don't know it. It's like trying to speak German and you have never been accustomed to it, nor heard it. What good is knowing information if you don't know how to use it? Anyone can quote scripture, that's easy, but unfortunately, it is not enough just to know scripture you have to know how to use it in the right context.
I am sure that many of you know some of the popular sayings that have been circulating social media that are more common like: "Not today, Satan," or "The Devil is A liar." These have been made popular but they originated from the bible. The Devil doesn't want you to know the true weight of what the scripture carries because if you knew the true power they held he wouldn't be able to do what he wanted. Remember without the knowledge behind it it carries no strength. For example, think about someone who is about to swing a sword at something. If they don't put any force or weight behind it then the swing is useless.
How do you like these clap backs? Remember, when the enemy comes into your mind, put on the helmet of salvation and protect your thoughts. Put the Devil in his place with Holy Clap Backs!
**I hope everyone has a safe and blessed week and I will see you all on Saturday for our Weekly Topic Saturdays**
