WEEK 9:[THE WAR SERIES, DRESSED TO KILL]: POST-GRADUATION

Welcome back to the final post of the last week of The War Series, Dressed To Kill. So glad you made it through exam week last week, I am so proud of you for making it through the 9 weeks of basic training to become Warrior for God. In today's post, we will be talking about what happens after you graduate from basic training. What is there to do after you have trained and passed your course?

Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

Congratulations Soldiers!!! If you are seeing this post it means that you have successfully completed The War Series: Dressed to Kill Basic Training courses. Making the conscious decision to enlist in God’s Holy Army was the best decision to make. The road ahead will not be easy and there will be times when you feel like the world is stacked high against you, you may feel depression, anxiety, stress, anger, hopelessness, and a wide range of other emotions. It is in these times that you must honker down and remember the training that you have learned during your time here.

Poverty and disgrace come to him who ignores instruction, but whoever heeds reproof is honored.

Proverbs 13:18

What To Expect After Graduation?

In the military, once Warriors graduate from Basic Training they are now required to branch off to their desired field of studies. Like trade school, they are taught technical skills needed for their desired military job. These skills teach them in-depth and hands-on training needed to advance in rank and position. These skills and additional training are required to make sure they can take on their future job at hand.

The enemy is waiting for you to slip up, he is waiting to see if you are going to be consistent and stick to your guns or if you are going to fold under the pressure. Just because you have graduated from Basic Training does not mean that your training is over. From now on, you will be building on top of the training that you have completed. You are now going to be a continuous student learning and growing within your field of ministry.

It is important to take this walk with Christ and your spiritual military training seriously making the conscious effort to continuously stay in the Word of God, always learning, staying humble, and prepared for whatever attacks that may come your way. You must understand that the enemy will attack you, he may come harder than he ever has before because he knows that you are equipt now. Remember your training in these moments do not let the enemy trick you or manipulate you.

Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.

1 Peter 5:5

Soldiers as a member of God’s Army, you are living in a world that is fallen from the standards of heaven; where sin is a popular trend and salvation is becoming a distant thing that no one is interested in obtaining. As I mentioned earlier it is necessary that you put forth the effort to stay constantly in the Word so that you can discern between the truth and what is false.

This world is relying more and more on the Universe, Crystals, and other tangible objects rather than the truth that lies with God. With each passing generation, you will see fewer and fewer people getting to know God and more people engaging in a “religion” that teaches prosperity and makes them feel good. Use your discernment, and training to recognize the Devil for who and what he is; a lier, deceiver, destroyer, manipulator, and vile. Remember soldier, know the truth within your heart and help your fellow comrades establish a connection with God along the way.

Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

Colossians 2:6-7

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

What you have learned in The War Series: Dressed To Kill series will serve you for the rest of your life. You are certified to be Dressed to Kill, pick up your armor, equip it, and to be ready for battle. Congratulations again for making it through, now the real work begins.

Until our next series!

And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,

Philippians 1:9-10
